Knowledge is Power, but Silence is Deceitful.
I’ve always been the "healthy one." I’m active, I’m fit, and I honestly can't remember the last time I had the flu. I lived under the assumption that if something was wrong, my body would tell me. I was wrong.
In 2025 alone, nearly 320,000 women in the US will receive a breast cancer diagnosis. While 50,000 will be non-invasive, the remaining 270,000—myself included—will face the reality of invasive carcinoma. Globally, that’s 2.3 million stories just like mine.
I wrote Journey THrough the Fog of Breast Cancer because "feeling healthy" isn't a diagnostic tool. We need to talk about what’s uncomfortably common, before it becomes uncomfortably late.
